A new legal centre has been established to offer confidential advice to victims of abuse of power at universities in North Rhine-Westphalia.

After universities in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) issued a commitment to address abuse of power in academia, the State Rectors' Conference (LRK NRW) has now established an external legal advice centre for victims of such abuse. The centre with offices in Cologne is headed by lawyer Martina Lörsch and offers independent, confidential and - if requested - anonymous advice to students, staff members and internal university bodies. The lawyers can help to assess incidents and provide information about relevant complaints procedures.

The centre can be contacted by telephone on 0221 973 128-53 or by email: info@rechtsberatung-machtmissbrauch.nrw. For further information please check the website www.rechtsberatung-machtmissbrauch.nrw
